Baby Black Bear
A baby black bear faces many threats, so conservation is needed to improve the picture of the species.
The mother feeds them with very fatty milk and in 5 weeks they can walk on their own, but stay with mother for 17-20 months and learn how to survive. When females are ready to mate again, they force the yearlings to leave her.

Baby Black Bear -
conservation, picture
Every other year females give birth to 2-4 cubs if the food is abundant; when food is scarce, they may abort the fetus or not mate at all. The cubs are born in January; they are blind, hairless and helpless. A baby black bear faces many threats, so conservation is needed to improve the picture of the species.
